Users, groups and onboarding
Shape the organizational framework for collaboration.
How it fits together.
User groups organize people into a structure. The form supports umbrella organization, organization, business unit, department and team. Below the top level, it offers the corresponding parent level. Members are selected explicitly; for example, a team can belong to its department.
A user group and a permission group serve different purposes. User groups describe membership; permission groups select allowed actions and assigned users. Organization settings therefore separate Users and groups, Permissions and Onboarding.
Step by step in AIOS
Open Account menu → Settings → Organization.
User and group management appears with the relevant permissions. Organization navigation also contains the separate Permissions section.
Choose Users and groups. Open Users or Groups to inspect and edit the relevant objects.
The group form selects name, type, appropriate parent and members. A team belongs to a department, which belongs to a business unit. Membership and action permissions are configured separately.
Onboarding contains invitation and onboarding entries.
The onboarding table displays existing entries. Open the relevant entry to inspect it; adding new entries is disabled in this view.
With the appropriate permissions, configure and save the onboarding email subject and content.
With organization configuration rights, onboarding email subject and content are available. Use the draft below as a starting point, retain existing configured system links, and save the change.

If something does not work.
- A parent group is missing: Check the group type. The picker expects the immediately preceding hierarchy level.
- A member cannot perform an action: Check assigned permissions as well as user-group membership.
- Add is missing in Onboarding: This table displays existing entries; its creation control is disabled.
