Your data. Your choice.
No advertising trackers. No hidden profiles. Here is how this website uses data and how to change your choices.
Your privacy settings
Necessary preferences
Language, appearance and your choices are saved on GROON servers under a random browser identifier. Form drafts stay in your browser.
Changes are saved and can be adjusted here at any time.
Controller and contact
The controller for this website is GROON GmbH, c/o PIONEER LAB, Alte Rabenstraße 2, 20148 Hamburg, Germany. Contact datenschutz@groon.io for privacy requests, or moin@groon.io for general enquiries.
When you visit
Delivering the website requires processing technical connection data, including IP address, time, requested address and browser information. This supports delivery, stability and security based on our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. We do not create advertising profiles. Operational data is processed only as long as needed for delivery, troubleshooting and security, subject to legal obligations.
Cookies and local preferences
This website uses no analytics or advertising trackers. A necessary first-party cookie contains a random browser identifier and is valid for one year at a time. Language, appearance, privacy choices and dismissed suggestions are stored on GROON servers under that identifier, separately from your AIOS account. Preferences expire one year after they were last saved. Clearing site data removes the association with your browser. An idea draft stays in session storage so you can use it for your demo request. Storage supports the selected function and is not used for advertising. Necessary storage follows § 25(2)(2) TDDDG; optional media loads only with consent.
Demo requests and contact
When you request a demo, we process your first and last name, email address, company name, optional idea details, and your consent. We use them to handle your request and contact you about the demo. The basis is consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR; specific pre-contract enquiries fall under Article 6(1)(b). You can withdraw consent by email at any time. We delete enquiry data when no longer necessary, subject to legal retention requirements.
YouTube product tour
The player loads only when you activate the video or use a saved permission. Google then receives technical connection and usage data, including your IP address and device information. The EEA provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Processing in the USA and other countries is possible. We use privacy-enhanced mode; this does not prevent all processing after activation. The basis is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and, where applicable, § 25(1) TDDDG. Revoke saved permission above; this does not affect processing that already occurred.
Downloads and external links
The handbook download requires your first name, last name, company name and email address. We process these details to handle your handbook request and email them internally to Fabian Meier at GROON together with the selected language and request time. Downloading does not subscribe you to a newsletter. Its suggestion uses only a local timer and your local choice. The iOS suggestion links to Apple’s App Store; Apple is contacted only when you follow it. The macOS download links to GROON’s download server. External services are governed by their providers’ privacy notices. App icons, fonts and video preview images are served locally by this website.
Your rights
Subject to legal conditions, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction and data portability. You can withdraw consent for the future. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your situation. You have the right to complain to a data protection authority, particularly where you live or where we are based. In Hamburg, this is the Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
