Contracts, compensation and time
Employment records connect people information to time accounts.
How it fits together.
The employment object describes a specific employment arrangement: person, position, contract file, start and optional end date, working time, compensation and holiday allowance. Time views distinguish work, breaks, holidays, public holidays, sickness and overtime. Compensation is recorded with amount, currency and a monthly or yearly period.
Payroll-relevant contract data is locked after creation. In the current form this includes the person, start date, daily hours, working days, compensation, holidays and time rules. The interface directs you to create a new employment arrangement when these fundamentals change. Position, contract file, end date and development goals remain editable with appropriate access.
Step by step in AIOS
For a new contract basis, create a new Employment object and select the person and contract file.
Select the person and a matching contract file when creating the item. A new entry describes a new contract basis; it does not overwrite existing payroll-relevant data.
At creation, enter position, start date, compensation amount and period, working days and expected daily hours.
Check daily hours and working days together. Compensation amount, currency and monthly or yearly period also belong together. These fundamentals are locked after creation.
Configure holiday allowance and available time rules. Review the data before saving, because payroll-relevant fundamentals are locked afterwards.
Set holiday allowance and available time rules before saving. Public holidays can be imported by country and region. Review the contract data before finalizing it.
Inspect General, Contract, Accounts and Statistics. Later, edit only available fields; for changes to locked contract fundamentals, the interface directs you to create new employment.
Inspect General, Contract, Accounts and Statistics. Existing employment still allows changes to items such as position, contract file, end date and development goals; changes to locked fundamentals require a new employment arrangement as directed by the form.

If something does not work.
- Compensation, hours or holidays are locked: This is expected on existing employment. Create a new employment arrangement for changed contract fundamentals.
- Holiday days look unexpected: Check daily hours together with time accounts; the display converts available holiday hours into days.
- A contract file is missing: Select or upload the relevant file in the contract field.
